Component Identification - Wires, Boards & Connectors

Audience

One of a set of five interactive multimedia programs for electronic assembly operators and others, who deal with electronic components in their work.

Objectives

Participants successfully completing these programs will be able to:

  • Describe the construction and function of wires and boards
  • Match wire and cable types with their name and description
  • Describe the relationship of function, size, and rating for wires and cables
  • Describe fibre as an alternate method of transmitting information
  • Describe the construction of printed circuit boards
  • Describe, with examples, the function and construction of connectors
  • Match the name, function, and an example for various connector types
