Circuit Card Assembly: An Introduction

Audience

One of three modular interactive multimedia learning programs for operators who work in circuit card assembly. Companies have also found these programs useful for orienting other personnel to the overall manufacturing process.

Objectives

Participants successfully completing this program will be able to describe and explain:

  • The differences between surface mount, through hole, and mixed technology assembly
  • The basic sequence of steps involved in circuit card assembly, including mechanical assembly and testing
  • Processes supporting assembly including receiving, component preparation, inventory management, programming, rework, testing
  • The role of the operator in quality
  • Process documents
