ABC e-Learning Corporation (ABCe) is a bilingual Canadian educational software company dedicated to creating custom and off the shelf e-Learning solutions for organizations around the world. Located in Ottawa, a hotbed for Information Technology, ABCe has attracted an interdisciplinary group of proven talents to develop its family of e-learning services. Our team offers you knowledge and wisdom distilled from a total of 75 work years of experience in the e-Learning industry.

Mark Watson

President

Mr. Watson has over 10 years experience in the high technology field. He has spent 4 years working overseas in Singapore and Japan and has held Corporate Management positions in both the software and telecommunications sector. In addition to his International Trade expertise, he has a successful track record in marketing, channel development and partnering.

As Vice-President of Sky Media in Singapore, he was instrumental in the development and sales of the Sky Tutor program, a series of 40 CD-Online tutorial courses. His seven years of experience in the telecommunications sector gives him a unique insight into the uses of advanced broadband technology for the development of educational training services.

Kendrick Abell

Chief Technology Officer

Since 1995, Kendrick has been the driving force behind several CBT/e-learning initiatives for companies such as Sentient Media, Newbridge Networks, Learnsoft, Rovell, Automated Learning Corporation and ABC e-Learning Corporation. As the architect and programming manager behind several successful programs, he has considerable knowledge of the tools and methodologies used in the creation of interactive learning content. Driven to create ground-breaking programs that excite and engage learners, he is not only a software engineer fluent in multiple programming languages but a multimedia specialist who enjoys working with audio, graphics, and 3D models. He spends his spare time completing his BCS and BSc.

Board of Advisors

Richard Bertrand

Director

Mr. Richard Bertrand is President of IThink, providing strategic business advice and marketing consulting to industry. He is Chair of the Advisory Board of Technica Software Corporation , Chairman of the Board for the Northwood Technologies Inc., Board member Dry Air, a Director of Montage eIntegration, consulting advisor to the Business Development Bank of Canada Consulting Group as well as a number of other companies.

Mr. Bertrand has held a number of senior positions in the cable television industry. He was partner in ECL Executive Consultants, a strategic communications/government relations consulting firm which was acquired by Burson-Marsteller, and was appointed Vice Chairman and Managing Director. More recently he was brought in as Vice President-Marketing for SHL Systemhouse, at that time Canada's largest full service systems integration company.

Mr. Bertrand is Chairman of the Board of the University of Ottawa. In his capacity as Chair, Mr. Bertrand also serves on the Board of the University of Ottawa Heart Institute. He is a member of the Dean's Advisory Council for the Faculty of Administration.

Mr. Bertrand is currently a senior business consultant and advisor within the high technology industry. He was the recipient of the OCRI Entrepreneur of the year 2001 and has been nominated as a finalist for the Ottawa Board of Trade Business Person of the Year for 2000.

Mr. Bertrand graduated from McGill University where he received his Bachelor of Science. He received his MBA from the University of Ottawa, and has completed the Strategic Management Program at the Queen's University Executive Development Centre.

Gary Sharpe, P.Eng

Director

Gary Sharp is an expert in housing technology and has over 25 years of experience in the housing industry. He has played key roles in the delivery of Canada's world renowned R-2000 Program and in the delivery of the Advanced Houses Program. He has been involved in training R-2000 professionals from coast to coast within Canada. In addition, he has an international presence through his role as a member of the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation's International Training Team.

Mr. Sharp has a solid background in the theoretical aspects of building science which he combines with his practical experience in construction to create a beneficial learning experience for those who attend his training sessions. He will be responsible for the technical accuracy of the training materials.
